GRACE (Laura Story)

Hello all, how are you? :)

Pagi ini aku cuma mau share post singkat, and share satu lagu yang lagi memberkati aku banget hari-hari ini.. Judulnya "Grace" by Laura Story, and I hope lagu ini bisa jadi berkat juga buat kalian yang mungkin saat ini lagi ada dalam hard situation.. Jangan cuma sekedar dengerin ya, tapi coba baca and perhatiin juga liriknya :)

Aku dapet lagu ini pas aku lagi bener-bener down banget and almost want to give up with my school (bagi yang belum tau, saat ini aku lagi ambil sekolah/course in Early Childhood Education and Care). Sekolah ini memang singkat, cuma sekitar 6-9 bulan. But bagi orang kayak aku (yang udah lama gak sekolah, and gak pernah sekolah di luar negeri juga :p) aku bener-bener ngalamin kesulitan dalam ngerjain tugas, assignments and tasks yang banyak banget. Bener-bener pengen nyerah rasanya.. but Tuhan kasih aku kekuatan, salah satunya lewat lagu ini..

Aku mau belajar untuk andalin kekuatan Tuhan, to walk in His sufficient grace.. And biar lewat proses ini, Tuhan juga bentuk karakter aku plus hancurin setiap kesombongan aku.. supaya aku sadar kalo aku ini memang gak bisa apa-apa tanpa Tuhan, kalo aku ini gak punya kepintaran or kehebatan apapun juga.. Kalo aku bisa berhasil, semuanya cuma karena kasih karunia Tuhan.. His grace is sufficient for me :)

Akhirnya setelah melewati busy weeks, hari ini aku bisa off di rumah seharian :) And cuaca di sini hari ini enak banget, aku dari tadi jadi berasa kayak lagi ada di vila di Puncak gitu, hahaha.. *lebay* :p

Anyway, kali ini aku cuma mo share 1 lagu by John Waller yang judulnya "The Marriage Prayer".. I love this song! Sebelumnya, aku cuma tau lagu dia yang judulnya "As For Me And My House" but ternyata lagu dia yang lain juga bagus-bagus :)

Deeper in LOVE

Jadi inget beberapa hari yang lalu aku kenalan sama satu temen baru and we shared about our lives. Dia tanya tentang kegiatan aku sehari-hari, kerjaan suami aku, dan dia sempet kaget waktu tau kalo aku tiap hari bangun jam 4:30 pagi demi siapin lunch box buat suami. Intinya dia bilang, "Wah, dulu gue juga gitu waktu baru awal-awal married.. maklum masih penganten baru.. nanti lama-lama juga suami bangun sendiri and siapin makanan sendiri.." Hmm.. waktu dia bilang gitu sih aku ga tau musti ngomong apa and cuma bisa senyum-senyum aja, hehe.. But deep in my heart, aku sih ga pengen kayak begitu.. aku malah pengen makin lama bisa jadi isteri yang makin excellent lagi..

Selain itu, banyak juga orang yang suka bilang ke kita.. "Ah maklum masih penganten baru, masih masa-masa honeymoon.." "Nanti kalo punya anak pasti udah beda deh.." dan lain sebagainya.. Wajar sih kita banyak denger kalimat ini, terutama buat kita pasangan-pasangan muda yang baru married.. But there is a question in my heart.. Kenapa hal-hal yang romantis, perasaan jatuh cinta, dll cuma ada di awal-awal pernikahan? Bukannya semakin hari seharusnya malah semakin romantis and semakin cinta ya? Hehe..

And you know what, ternyata hal ini juga related with our relationship with God.. Mungkin banyak di antara kita waktu ngeliat orang-orang yang baru lahir baru and they are really excited about God, respon kita malah.. "Ah mereka kan masih baru lahir baru.. Nanti beberapa taon lagi juga udah ga bakal se-on fire gitu.." Waktu baru lahir baru, kita bisa romantis banget sama Tuhan, rasanya kayak orang yang lagi falling in love setiap hari :p But gimana setelah kita ikut Tuhan 10 tahun or 20 tahun or 30 tahun or 40 tahun or 50 tahun???

Aku paling seneng liat pasangan-pasangan yang ngerayain anniversary mereka, apalagi kalo ada yang bisa sampe 50 taon (langka banget tuh :p) and tetep bisa romantis.. pengen deh bisa kayak gitu, hehe.. I want to be deeper in love with my husband everyday.. and with my God :) Meskipun aku udah ikut Tuhan lebih dari 16 tahun, I want to keep loving Him with all my heart and malah makin deeper in love with Him, more than before.. Cuaca di sini udah mulai dingin, apalagi sekarang tiap hari kita harus bangun jam 4:30 pagi karena pekerjaan DM yang baru.. masih gelap and dingin banget.. but enak juga buat saat teduh, hehe..

Anyway, pagi ini lagi keingetan aja sama 1 lagu yang kita pake waktu wedding dance.. Judulnya "When God Made You" (By Newsong and Natalie Grant) Suka banget sama lagu ini! Thanks to Sari yang udah bantu nyari-nyari lagu and "gak sengaja" ketemu lagu ini, haha.. Waktu itu lagi bingung banget mau dance pake lagu apa, and waktunya juga udah mepet banget, blom latian dsb. Eh pas denger lagu ini, langsung suka, terutama sama liriknya.. And pas DM dengerin, dia juga setuju :)

Kita dance gak lama, kira-kira cuma 2 menit pertama dari lagu ini, but it was fun and unforgetable :p apalagi kita berdua kagak ngerti gimana caranya dance, hahaha.. Thanks to July yang udah bantuin kita latihan :) So, enjoy this song.. and siapa tau ini bisa jadi masukan lagu buat kalian yang lagi persiapan wedding, hehe..

Little Candles: Special Performance (Engagement Day!)

Hari Sabtu, 12 Oktober 2013 yang lalu, merupakan salah satu hari special for me and DM :) Yes, it was our engagement day! On that night, semua family, relatives and close friends pada ngumpul di Golden Leaf Restaurant.. maybe bisa dibilang, kayak semi wedding reception di Jakarta kali ya, haha.. karena nanti kita bakal married-nya di Aussie :p

Acaranya macem-macem.. ada ibadah singkat di awal, aku and DM saling tuker cincin, doa bareng, pouring wine.. trus pas acara makan-makan, ada persembahan khusus dari Little Candles :) ada beberapa orang yang nyanyi juga, ada sulap (hehe..), ada Talk Show (launching buku "Our Love Story") and terakhir pastinya ada acara foto-foto :p

Sempet terharu banget pas liat Little Candles tampil.. happy bercampur sedih, karena bakal pisah ama mereka semua, hiks.. But so proud of them, karena mereka udah berani tampil maksimal di depan banyak orang.. *thumbs up* :) Ini ada cuplikan video performance mereka, and ada beberapa foto dari acara engagement kemarin.. Little Candles: Singing Practice

Hari Sabtu kemarin (14/9/2013) ada 7 anak Little Candles yang dateng ke rumahku :) Kali ini mereka dateng khusus buat latihan nyanyi untuk perform di acara tunangan aku and DM bulan depan.. Ada 11 anak sih harusnya, but 4 dari mereka kemaren gak bisa dateng.. and selama ini mereka memang udah sering latihan.. I think they did a great job.. Thanks buat aunty San-san and cici Ace yang udah bantuin mereka latihan selama ini :)

Selesai latihan, seperti biasa, mereka masih main di rumahku sampe sore, hehe.. Kali ini aku ijinin mereka main di atas, in my guess room tepatnya, tempat nanti akhir taon kita bakal bikin acara Little Candles nginep bareng di sini, hihi.. gak kebayang ntar ramenya kayak gimana kalo semua nginep dalam 1 kamar, wkwkwk.. but kapan lagi ya bisa bareng-bareng ama mereka.. hiks.. jadi sedih.. kurang dari 4 bulan lagi kita bakal pisah :( Gonna miss them so much!!! :( :( :(

Kemaren ini aku baru abis ikut 3 days retreat bareng The Cause Jakarta and kita sering banget nyanyiin lagu baru Hillsong yang satu ini :) Through this song, God reminds me that my life is only about Christ.. Hari Kamis-Sabtu kemarin, aku pergi liburan ke Pangandaran bareng beberapa temen gereja.. Kita pergi ber-7 naik satu mobil.. and ini bener-bener salah satu trip yang unforgetable plus berkesan banget, hehe.. Selain for holiday, mereka juga adain trip ini buat farewell aku ke aussie taon depan (padahal masih lama gitu ya perginya, haha..) Jadi pas malem terakhir di sana, mereka kasi surprise and kita ngobrol, sharing-sharing, kasi kesan-pesan sampe jam 2 pagi :p Thanks Amel, Nouyya, Jere, Frans, Daniel, Robby.. and buat Asgab juga (meskipun gak jadi ikut akhirnya, hehe..)

Salah satu hal yang paling berkesan di trip ini, of course, pas hari kedua.. yaitu pas kita body rafting di Green Canyon.. Kalo diinget-inget lagi, bener-bener wow banget kita ber-7 bisa lewatin semua rintangan dengan selamat, haha.. Kita main selama 2 jam, and ngelawan arus sungai gitu.. aku hampir berkali-kali kebawa arus (terlalu enteng kali nih badan :p) trus harus manjat-manjat tebing, and di batunya banyak kepiting kecil-kecil gitu, hiii.. what a great experience pokoknya..

But yang paling tegang tuh pas kita dikasih optional buat loncat alias terjun bebas dari tebing yang tingginya kira-kira 7 meter.. Boleh coba, boleh nggak.. Awalnya sih aku cuma nontonin 2 temenku yang loncat (Jere and Frans).. but entah kenapa, di hati ini kayaknya ada dorongan kuat buat ikut nyoba juga, haha.. Takut sih.. Takut bangeett.. Kalo dari bawah sih keliatannya kayak gak terlalu tinggi.. But pas kita udah di atas, apalagi pas berdiri di ujung tebingnya, itu rasanya speechless.. Tinggi banget boo.. and gak pake alat pengaman apa-apa, cuma pelampung doang :p But di saat itulah God bicara banyak dalam hati aku..

Seperti yang aku udah share di post aku sebelumnya, sepulang dari Aussie, lagi banyak ketakutan and ketegangan yang aku hadapin lately.. about my future.. I don't know what will happen next in my life.. and banyak tantangan yang musti aku hadapin.. So, pas aku mau mutusin untuk loncat dari tebing 7 meter itu, God cuma bilang.. "Do you want to overcome your fearness?" wow.. Ketakutan itu emang pasti ada.. but bukan berarti aku harus kabur or diem aja.. I have to face it! Akhirnya aku mutusin buat naik ke atas, dengan perasaan dag-dig-dug, haha.. karena naiknya aja susah.. harus manjat gitu..

Sampe di atas, aku gak berani liat ke bawah, wkwkwk.. (oya, ada videonya sebenernya, but ada di HP temen, hehe..) Abis itu petugasnya suruh aku berdiri di ujung tebing buat siap-siap loncat.. but aku masih gak berani, haha.. aku tenangin diri dulu, tarik nafas, sampe akhirnya dia itungin 1... 2... 3... woohoo!! Baru deh aku loncat!! Wuahh.. gila banget rasanya.. Pas udah nyebur, aku juga sempet kebawa arus and ditolongin petugasnya.. Kata temen-temen, muka aku sempet pucet and keliatan lemes banget.. but thank God I'm save! hahaha.. and ada satu perasaan lega sih after that.. and di dalem hati aku cuma bisa bilang.. "I have overcomed my fearness.." :)

Ini satu lagu yang powerful banget.. Lagu yang udah jadi kekuatan buat DM, and buat aku juga, selama kita hadapin challenges in our relationship.. Tantangan and ketakutan itu pasti ada, but God will never leave us alone.. He goes before us and stands behind.. He is faithful.. Whom shall I fear.. :)

Tadi pagi aku juga sempet dapet satu ayat dari Frans (Thanks bro!) dari Mark 5:36

Wow.. simple tapi dalem ya.. and aku juga percaya kalo kasih Tuhan akan melenyapkan setiap ketakutan kita.. So, what are you facing right now? Something bigger than you? Remember that nothing is too big for our God.. Amen! :)

But anyway, aku jadi makin ngerasa kalo Tuhan tuh baikkk bangeettt.. Dia selalu dengerin doa anak-anakNya and Dia pasti selalu kasih yang terbaik :') He is really a good God! Yes, He is...

IT IS DONE

Hi all.. udah pada denger lagu yang satu ini belom? Lagu ini baru launched di iTunes tgl 3 Maret kemaren, and sempet heboh karena masuk peringkat ke-1 di pre-order iTunes.. wow.. Aku udah pernah denger lagu ini sebelumnya, and aku kira ini lagunya Hillsong.. but ternyata ini lagunya Sidney Mohede! Wah, so proud! Haha.. And makin mantep lagi karena dia duet bareng Darlene :)

But anyway, what makes this song so powerful, of course karena liriknya.. and pas banget aku dengerin pas lagi sakit, langsung semangat pas nyanyiin bagian ini: "every sickness, every weakness... overcome in Jesus name!" Yes.. amen.. amen! :)

Lagu ini juga pas buat Paskah.. jadi bisa bikin kita inget lagi of what He has done on the cross.. Thank You, Jesus for your sacrifice.. In every situation in my life, I will always remember your last words on the cross.. "IT IS DONE!"
