Our Tie Dye Shirts

This is our second time doing tie dye. The first time we did, we didn’t really satisfied with the results. So we try using another kit this time and hopefully it will turn great 🤞🏻

The instruction of this new kit is a bit different compared to the first one. This time we had to soak the clothes first in soda ash with warm water for about 20 minutes.

I didn’t take any photos or videos when the kids did the tie dye because all of our hands were very messy, haha.. but I’ll show you the results later.. We have to wait for 12-24 hours :)

So after waiting for the next day, here are the results and we love it! 😍

Messy Garage

Lately, I love listening to Francis and Lisa Chan’s talks through RightNowMedia app.. I love this couple so much.. And it’s interesting to see that they recorded one of their video series not in a beautiful living room, or in a perfect looking kitchen.. but in their messy garage! They said that they want people to know that their lives are not perfect, they are also a human being that still live in the process, same like other people..

After watching that video, I feel really inspired to also show to other people, my messy garage! Haha.. We live in a social media world that always try to show a perfect looking house.. People try to post a perfect looking photos of their lives, their marriage, their family, their holidays, etc. that can make others feel jealous and insecure.. but nobody wants to show their “messy garage” in social media.. lol 😝

Here is what we want people to see in the social media (just a little bit part of our life):

But what people don’t know, we also have our messy garage behind the scene, haha.. We have lived in this house for about 6 years and somehow this garage has turned into a storage and we’re still in the process to get it organised 😅

My life is far from perfect.. What you see in social media is not always the same as the reality.. Let’s be real and be open, so others can see how God works in us.. in our weaknesses and in our struggles.. I don’t want to make people jealous or feel insecure when they see my life.. but I want people to see how God still loves me, even in my imperfections.. and my life right now is all because of God’s grace ❤️

2 Corinthians 12:9

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness..”

Our Christmas Day

We always try to make our day simple on Christmas Day. Yesterday we started our day by going to church. And then we went back home to get ready to open all the presents. But before that, we sat down together.. we said Happy Birthday to Jesus and talked about what we love about Jesus (so precious!) and then we prayed together.. we thanked God for his blessings, but we also prayed for others who are struggling at the moment and having hard times 🙏

After opening all the presents, we let the kids enjoy and play with their new toys (we keep half of the toys for the next day, haha..) The kids watched some videos of Christmas stories.. and we ended our day by driving around to see some Christmas lights :) Simple way to celebrate Christmas, but meaningful..

This Christmas God reminds me to think and pray for those who feel lonely, alone and have no family around.. those who just lost their loved ones and in the process of grieving.. those who don’t have enough money to buy food and presents.. those who just lost everything because of disaster.. those who are struggling with trauma and grief after the Bondi attack recently 😢 My heart is heavy for them..

Christmas Day is not about celebration, party or presents.. because Jesus was born in an inconvenient situation, in a lonely manger.. So many baby boys also killed after Christmas and so many families went through grief and sad times.. This is not a happy season for everyone, but Jesus came to bring hope to everyone and light into the darkness ❤️

I pray that Jesus will be the answer for everyone who is searching for hope this Christmas.. Amen 🙏

Merry Christmas 2025 🎄

2026: Year of Celebration & Restoration 🎉

2026 is going to be a special year!

I’m going to turn 40.. and my oldest, Glenn, is turning 10! So next year I’m going to celebrate my 40 years of life and also 10 years of parenting 🎉

God also gave me some verses about restoration.. If you know my story, in the past few years, my life hasn’t been easy.. Maybe I can say that I experience some kind of burned out.. That’s why I decided to turn off my Facebook and Instagram.. and restart my life again, especially in my relationship with God.. I tried to be more wisely in using my screen time and to engage more with the people around me.. I want to spend my time more in doing things that can make my spirit grow and can bring blessing to others.. rather than wasting my time scrolling on social media.. I want to focus more on things that are eternity (God’s mission), not on temporary things on earth..

In 2026 (even start from now), God wants to restore and renew my heart and my spirit.. back to the first love.. living in the fullness of God.. I’m ready and I’m excited! 🔥

What’s God’s words for you for 2026?

Christmas Project 🎄

We did something special this Christmas! :)

Usually I only write Christmas cards by myself, but this time I included kids’ drawings in every cards (I think we have done more than 50 cards!) And not only that.. at first we only did cards for our friends.. but after that we got an idea to give cards to all other people around us: bus drivers, train staff, postman, rubbish truck drivers, police, librarian, neighbors, shop keepers, trolley guy and so many more!

It was such a joy to see the kids excitement in giving and how brave they are in approaching and talking to those people.. and also to see people’s reactions when they received the cards (we also added a chocolate / a lollipop for them 😋)

Last week Glenn gave a card to one of the train staffs, he opened the card and showed Glenn’s drawings to everyone in that train.. They clapped their hands and gave appreciation for Glenn.. He said that this is his first Christmas card that he ever received since he works at the train.. It was such a sweet and special moment 🥰

Here are some photos of their drawings:

(Thanks to Art For Kids Hub Youtube!)

I hope through this project the kids will learn to care more about others and also many people will be blessed through their simple actions of love 💕

The kids gave the card & lolly to the policeman 👮‍♂️

Merry Christmas!

November 2025 💚

This month I started taking a break from Facebook and Instagram, and I’m happy to start sharing my life in this blog again :)

So we started this month with a Christmas tree! Haha.. Yes, we always put a Christmas tree very early 😄 (and some Christmas decorations too)

We also have a new neighbor this month.. so the kids made homemade cards to welcome them.. and they gave chocolate muffins for us, yum! 😋

I bought new book series for Glenn from Amazon, called “The Secret of The Hidden Scrolls” by M.J. Thomas and he loves these books so much!

If you’re looking for chapter books for your kids that based on the Bible stories, I really recommend this one 👍

The kids also started learning an electric drum as part of their music lesson.. Our kids somehow always prefer to learn music at home by themselves through the apps and they did really well so far :) They use Simply Piano app for the keyboard and Instadrum app for the electric drum..

Last but not least, this month is very special because our youngest, Levi, turned 4 🎉

His birthday was on Sunday so we gave him a surprise in the morning before we went to church and we also celebrated with other kids at church after that :) We took him for lunch at the restaurant that has a big playground inside.. simple but meaningful and Levi was so happy 🥰

We love you so much, Levi! We’re so grateful to have you in our family.. God bless you 💚

Social Media Reset

After watching and listening to Allie Marie Smith’s video podcasts about “Social Media Reset”, I decided to take another break from Facebook and Instagram, which I also did years ago in 2021. I still use Whatsapp and some basic apps like Signal, email, SMS and phone calls to keep in touch with family and friends, also for business and ministry. I’m also thinking to share more in this blog again :)

Why I need a break from Facebook and Instagram? There are some reasons behind it:

- I spent too much time on these 2 apps.. endless scrolling, makes me addicted and it’s not healthy.. I can use my time to do something more important and to do things that can make me grow

- Seeing other people’s lives can makes me feel insecure, not good enough and compare my life with others.. I also don’t want my posts make others feel insecure.. It’s not good for our mental health.. Comparison is the thief of joy!

- God didn’t design me to be someone who sits in front of the screen all the time, but He wants me to put down my phone to enjoy life, to enjoy nature, to enjoy His creations without posting and expecting number of likes or followers from others. He wants me to have a sacred and private life with Him and with my loved ones.

I’m not sure how long I’m going to take this break.. it can be temporary or it can be permanent.. we’ll see ;) And if you feel that you also need to take a social media reset, do not think twice and I’m sure it will make a difference in your life.. 💛
